is it actually possible to cheat now, cos if it is I can't figure it out

You could use the Universal Ren'Py Mod by 0x52 to cheat. It works with this game. I used it on almost every Ren'Py game that's compatible with it and I also used the Extended Variable Viewer by anne O'nymous which both are posted here on F95 if you search for them. You can use both of them at the same time if you want to. However I think the Extended Variable Viewer doesn't work well with this game but I know the Universal Ren'Py Mod works well with it though.

Had an interesting thing happen: Went to visit a mother, got there, entered the house, only to instantly turn around leave because it was late. Should probably always be allowed to make at least one action before leaving due to the time, or else not be able to make the call.

From rolling back a tad, looks like I made the phone call at 6PM. Before that, I'd called two other mothers who didn't want to see me, so I'd picked the "Never mind" option.
